Confused about so many choices?

Cutting edge beauty? Have you heard this term? It sounds a bit strange to me. I look at the words and wonder why anyone
would want to use something that had a cutting edge on their face ? or for any
beauty purpose. I mean, I realize that a
cutting edge would certainly be applicable to cosmetic procedures (done by
qualified medical professionals, of course) but it always makes me wonder about
the language used to describe beauty products and cosmetics.
